At Plastic Surgery Associates, we base our beliefs and our practice around superior patient care. We believe each patient has the right to an individual assessment concerning his or her health and wellbeing. This type of care requires a realistic assessment of what can and cannot be achieved with surgical procedures. Catalogue-like shopping for surgery can be misleading for the patient. The selection of treatment options involves much more than browsing through pictures. We believe that treatment options should be selected with the guidance of a plastic surgeon. To develop realistic expectations from any procedure a full consultation in the privacy of our office is necessary.
Our fees are based on national averages but also reflect the cost of providing first class safety and service. We believe that quality of care should never be compromised to improve profits. We want our patients to focus on taking care of themselves, not worrying about the cost of their surgery. Our medical insurance administrator and her staff take care of insurance issues quickly to minimize the time between identifying a surgical need and performing the corrective procedure. Financial assistance can also be arranged for elective surgeries, which are not covered by insurance.
To provide our patients with the highest level of care, Plastic Surgery Associates adheres to strict standards of several national accreditation organizations. Our in-house operating room is one of only a few in Acadiana to be certified by the American Association Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF). This means our patients receive the same benefits as having their procedure performed at a hospital. These benefits include technology, equipment, safety precautions, anesthesia providers, surgeons, and nurses. Additionally, our patients also receive the added benefits of lower costs, more privacy, and more convenience.
